My 1st update as a UKM student

Alhamdulillah. For those who have not know yet about this, let me tell u briefly. I’ve been accepted for the degree course(Syariah) in UKM and I’m now officially a student there. *kene angkat sumpah semua* If u want to contact me, just sms my spore number and i/allah I will reply back through my Msian number. If the message is too long, you can always email me. Don’t worry. There’s wi-fi in my room. *big smile*

Orientation:
The orientation lasts for 1 week, from 4 July till 10 July. What did I actually do during orientation? Hmmm….Before I reached here, I’ve been hearing news about how the orientation in Malaysia works, n I coaxed myself not to believe it so much. It’s not a positive news, but I simply shrugged it off, saying that it could not be thaaaat bad.

I myself had to go through the orientation and found out that the news are actually true. Luckily, I’ve been “brain-wash” before and simply ignore these NONSENSE! Deep inside, I was cursing them, saying that U have set a BAD IMPRESSION of your ownself! Speaking and behaving in that manners, totally shameful! It was totally against the policy of a University student.

Example please….? There was a night when every facilitator( they called it the PC-Pemudah Cara) was scolding as ‘rabak-rabaknya’. They were shouting, yelling at as, the Juniors. Calling us names, as though we are emotional-less. Hoping that we have learnt our lesson through thaaat way.

Another example, was the night when we have to ‘fight’ each other with cheers. I certainly don’t mind ‘cheering’ for my hostel, but when it comes to the point that you have to say bad things about the other hostels, I certainly will not participate. For instance, calling them ‘bapok’ or ‘pondan’.

These things are all traditions from their seniors. N they are continuing with this tradition, w/out realizing that they are actually, ‘dalam istilah feqh taqlid-ing’. *Kalau masyarakat umum, boleh dimaafkan kalau mereka bertaqlid tetapi yang masalahnya sekarang, yang bertaqlid adalah mereka-mereka yang berilmu & berpengetahuan*

Lectures:
Its totally different from school system. This is University life. Time to do research. No more spoon-feed. One of my prof said, “ni dah tkde spoon-feed dah. Kalau ade spoon-feed pun, dikira spoon-feed yang BERDURI nye” .Hehehe.

In one day, there’s only a few lessons to be attended. Like today, I only attended two classes. One in the morning session, which is only a 2 hours lecture and another one is a 1 hour lecture. If I have tutorial lessons, then I have to stay in my faculty for a longer period.

Alhamdulillah. I’ve been enjoying my life there. Lectures.Tutorials.Clubs.Friends. Oh btw, I’ve been invited to go for a holiday in Sabah. Weeee~ One of my friends, Aida, she’s from sabah and I was ‘bombarding’ her with questions like ‘rumah panjang masih wujud ke dekat sane’ and also about ‘orang asli’. I was surprised when she said, some of the ‘orang asli’ can speak fluent English bcoz the 1st language when Sabah was first conquered was in English. Then she invited me to go to Sabah during the Semester holiday. *winks*

Ok.Insha-allah I will try to frequently update my blog. Please do remember me in your doa’s. Minaal ‘aaidin wal faaizin. Hehe. *tak sabar nk puasa & then beraya*
Rindu sama si kecik!
