Itmiknan ( an outdoor camp organised by MKS Darul Quran )

I received a call from Kak Hafizah, while savouring my lasagne at Bugis Swenson with ashidah. She was 'proposing' me to become a faci for this particular event. I was reluctant in the 1st place as i feel like im not qualified yet to become a faci. Ashidah said, she felt the same too. Despite of the lacking of experiences, I decided to take a step forward to gain this golden opportunity experiences. And i promised myself that I will try to give my best ; let this be a learning journey for me.

I meet different kinds of people there. I learnt a lot from them ( especially from the young participants which range from 14-23 years old) , and I hope my group (which were assigned to one of the ummahaatul mukminin's name : Maimunah Bte Al-Harithah ) learnt something from me too. Allahul Musta'an.

There was one particular programme that i really like and i feel like, it should be something that the organizer should try to execute it on, 'ala qadri maas tatho'ta. =D It is the action plan on how we (the upper hand together with the lower one) can do to spread dakwah among the public, n tat includes the non-muslim too.

Some of the ideas are very creative & innovative, and are so close to the young Muslims hearts. Let me jot down a few of their action plans :

a) To constantly update Itmiknan's FB account with Islamic posts, for example ayat quran or hadith that can be shared together.

b) To make Itmiknan's own newsletter =D

c) Dramas & theathers. ( im all for it! ) To act out on the stories that can be found in the Quran. Theres a lot of them, for example, surah Yusof is one of the best stories that contains real-life lessons. It is also vital for us to really comprehend the surah because it teaches us vital lessons about many of the issues that we are facing today, from siblings rivalry to being treated unfairly by people of higher authority.

There's quite a few more but i cant remember all of them. Theres 5 group, so each group presented around roughly 5 action plans. Some plans are highly far-fetched but insha allah, it can still be executed bi 'awnillah.

Last advice from an ukht, let us make a promise; to make al-Quran as our closest friend. More closer than our best friend.
