Alhamdulillah...
I was given the chance again to travel around and see the beauty of Allah's creations. Even though i've been there quite a few times before, I was still amazed by the natural beauty and the fresh air in it. Terengganu, was my latest holiday for this 2011.
Our first stop was at Darul Falah-a place for the orphanages. The principal of Darul Falah mentioned that there are around 180+ orphanages there. Alhamdulillah. They are provided with sufficient clothes, foods and most of their needs are taken care of.
We were taken around by the girls to have a look at their rooms,and how they lead their life there. We took the opportunity to chit-chat with them, and make them feel that we are actually sisters,sisters in Islam. =D Personally I feel that they benefit a lot from their stay at Darul Falah. It teaches them how to be independent at such a young age and thus having the ability to manage their own life. Allahu hafeezun~ An akh said that, the lost of their parents should not be a hindrance for them to achieve success in life. One good example is our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW. He was borned without a father, and few years later, he lost his mother. Despite of the 'kekurangan' , he continues to strive harder and with Allah's will, he become a wonderful & wise man. sollu 'ala habib~
The most thing that I enjoyed most at Ganu is the 'keluarga angkat' program. I enjoyed it so much. All of us are assigned to our own 'mak & ayah angkat'. I, together with Ifa, we get to stay with Cik Dah (a pre-school teacher). She's a great cook, & wow! she served us (including the YB-Yang Berhormat, together with the reporters) such a scrumptious meal. 3 kinds of fishes! *tk bbrape pasti name ikan2 die* N i get to try eating budu! =D tee hee hee..
Theres' also a game with orang kampung. (if orang-orang it becomes scacerow) . Tarik-tarik tali! Its so fascinating to see orang kampung'fight' against lelaki UKM. Orang kampung, most of them are sturdious and looked strong ! We figured that they will be the winners compared to the keding-keding UKM students'. But, dont judge a book by its cover! Orang kampung was unbelievably defeated by the UKM boys'. Congrats boys! =D
Semangat gotong-royong. This element is lacking in modern countries, like Spore. Living in a kampung, it makes me feel like everyone is your family,especially neighbours. Generosity & kindness runs in the blood. Allahumma barik qaryah bukit wan~ =D
Oh! Ive got the chance to become a 5-mins 'petani baja jagung'. Haha. Simple but lots of 'bend like beckham' to do! Interviewed one of e workers, and he said, it takes around a week for the corn to grow. And if there's rain, it will increase the fertility rate of growing. jagung jagung jagung~ =D
'ala kulli haal, syukran kathiran li PERMATA (Persatuan Mahasiswa Anak Terengganu) for organizing this event. & syukran to Ustaz Zaidi, for extending the invitation to muslimat surau al-nur kiy. We simply apreciate it. Barakallahu lakum jamii'an.
